Cafe Mexico is an absolute gem! My dining experience here was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the stage for what would become one of the best meals we've ever had. The Chicken Tinga Burrito was a flavorful explosion; the slow-cooked chicken had the perfect balance of spices and was complemented beautifully by the fresh ingredients wrapped in a soft tortilla. The Chile Relleno Chicken was equally impressive, with its perfectly roasted peppers stuffed with savory chicken and topped with a rich, tangy sauce.
Great atmosphere, and the place was packed. Our drinks were well done and reasonably priced. The service was solid and kept us with everything we needed to have a good time. The food was delicious, and there is something for everyone on the menu. It's a really fun place to be on a Saturday night.
For my first visit, i sat at the bar on a Friday on my own. Awesome tacos and bartenders being kind. The churros was also top-knotch. It didn't take long to get a seat but I was alone. I recommend making reservations ahead of time during busy lunch/evening hours in the warm season I'm not sure how I haven't been here after living on the south island for 10 years!
