We ended up here when the Penny Farthing wasn’t taking any more reservations. This place is soooo good! And the two restaurants are sisters - same kitchen - but this food is French and fabulous! We had the duck, the gnocchi, and the beef stew. Yum!
Favorite area in Victoria Oak Bay area. Quiet and elegant ambiance. Generous portions, surprising combinations like the Steak Sandwich resembling a pizza-steak fusion, Grilled Marinated Octopus offering a salad-centric cold dish, and Scallops Soufflé presenting a delightful blend of seafood chowder and scallops
We stopped here for an early dinner to wait out rush hour on the Malahat Highway. So glad we did! The food (especially the bisque!), atmosphere on the outdoor patio, and eagerness of staff to please were stellar . . . Five stars PLUS. Service, despite the shortage of wait staff, was good. Will definitely visit here again.
