Customer Reviews

Quite the experience for me. I loved it. This is a Japanese restaurant with high quality ingredients. Tried a few things, and it was delicious! I would want to come back to try more dishes.
This is by far the best Japanese eatery! Great service, delicious food and good ambiance. The food is very well plated. It's like, you will never experience the taste of the food served here anywhere else. It's one of a kind! Ayumi, Izumi and everybody is really great. They are usually fully booked especially during the weekend but they are very considerate to let us in (sometimes just me and my daughter). We love hanging out here. It's just a great experience everytime. Good people, good food!
We have traveled all over the world in search of hidden gems like this. Located in Burnaby, this izakaya truly hit our mark. From the heartwarming service to the exceptional quality of ingredients and techniques, we were truly transported to our happy place. Throughout our many limitless travels to Japan of nearly 6 months out of the year for over a decade, we have finally found a diamond in a ruff abroad. Their superb suimono that exceeds the levels of upscale ryokans for only $4 bucks? Out of the question. Daily specials from locally sourced ingredients such as zucchini blossoms stuffed with ebi shinjo to obanzai selections which were thoughtfully prepared and portioned were truly sensational. Their Kamo Tsukemen is to die for. We will definitely become their loyal patrons for many years to come!
