Customer Reviews

We love John and their food! Best sushi we have ever had! Will drive 14 hrs back to just have this kind of amazing food and service. Thanks for having us!
Nori Sushi in Nanaimo stands out as the ultimate destination for sushi lovers, offering a delightful fusion of creativity and taste that makes it the best sushi spot in the area. With an extensive menu featuring a variety of unique and interesting rolls, this restaurant truly showcases the art of sushi-making. Upon arrival, we started our meal with the **Crispy Monkey** and a side of **edamame**. The Crispy Monkey was a standout appetizer, reminiscent of the beloved Monkey Brains found at other sushi spots on the island. The texture was perfectly crispy, and the flavors melded together beautifully, setting a high standard for the rest of the meal.
Food was great. Tried the easiest plate to order on my first time: chef’s raft. I would definitely go back and try other menus next time. However, I wouldn’t wait an hour on the line to get in. Online booking recommended. The restaurant has quite dark atmosphere and it is crowded and noisy which wasn’t great for my young child. Service was also good enough but there are room for improvement.
