Hadn't been here in 35 years. Fond memories of the place. I was impressed with everything today. Good food: I had the pickerel and a slice of cherry pie. Nice decor. Service was attentive and friendly. The washroom was clean. The restaurant has been in continual operation for many years and is kind of a landmark business in Winnipeg. If you want a representative restaurant of Winnipeg, this is it.
A great experience. Our party chose this restaurant for a birthday dinner. Our server was kind, attentive, and explained the specials of the day. The menu was large and had many options. My prime rib was cooked perfectly. The toppings for the baked potato were brought to the table separately and served. It was a nice added touch. Big portions were a bonus! We will definitely return for a special occasion.
I came here with my partner for our anniversary dinner, and it was amazing. The food is absolutely worth every penny and our server, Sean, was just as great. The food also came out at a good pace and left us feeling full and well fed. I would definitely come here again.
