Customer Reviews

Went to this place specifically for Cacio e Pepe as I was in Rome for 12 hours and knew this city is the home of that pasta dish. To say I was satisfied is an understatement. It was perfect. Added to that was their tomato salad. How surprisingly delicious for such a simple dish! I left feeling euphoric. This is why Italian cuisine is so loved and special. Simple ingredients, combined and made in a quality way. I don't doubt there are many other restaurants in this city that will bring about a similar satisfaction and experience. But this place really delivers. And don't be misled by any stern expressions of the apparent owner. He is just concerned about providing a good, quality experience and works hard to do it. He is actually very kind and generous. I hope to return back to this place again soon to try other items on the menu and create new memories!
Lovely little restaurant near the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major. Affordable prices with big large portion size (see pictures for reference). Lovely owners and employees. One of the best seafood pasta and plater i have ever eaten.
Got this place as a local gem by the hostel i was staying at, 1 block from there, and tried to get there to eat. The first 2 nights was impossible, i couldn’t find a spot, and the waiter was rude to me, he wouldn’t let me in to eat even if i waited. the second day i tried going, i waited outside, and he told me i couldn’t eat because they were full, and let 2 ladies behind me in the line go inside and eat, even if they didn’t have booking (they told me so). However, the 3rd day i arrived and the restaurant was curiously very empty so i got a spot and could eat. The food was amazing, fantastic, tasty, and very reasonable prices. The owner seemed very nice towards the people eating there, and, as it’s classic italian but doesn’t happen often, he complimented me with desert and digestive. The place is a gem.
