Since 1974, La Bussola has been a Kelowna institution, serving up authentic Italian cuisine with a passion that spans generations. Our story begins in the picturesque village of Valle dell’Angelo, Italy, where our parents, Lauretta and Francesco Coccaro, were born and raised.
Roots in Tradition
Growing up, we spent summers in Valle dell’Angelo, surrounded by our grandparents’ artisanal produce and learning the value of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Our mother, Lauretta, learned to cook and farm from her parents, and many of the produce used in our restaurant comes directly from her garden.

Our parents’ passion for excellence has been passed down to us, and we’re committed to sharing that with our customers. Our extensive wine program, curated by Luigi Coccaro, Certified Sommelier, showcases the best of Italy and beyond.
