A Family Legacy

Established in 1977 by John and Georgia Andromidas, Johnny’s Marion Restaurant is a true family affair. The Andromidas family immigrated to Canada from Greece in 1972, and after years of hard work, they opened their small 40-seat cafe, living in the attached apartment with their children.

Expansions and Growth

  • 1984: First expansion, increasing seating to 80, and Phil joined the business full-time
  • 2001: Second expansion, bringing Peter into the restaurant full-time

A Family Tradition

  • John’s Legacy: Known for his exuberant personality and homemade delicious food, John’s spirit lives on

4.5 stars Cheeseburger and chocolate shake dine in. And pizza to go! I cut the burger in half and did not put it down! I will return, and if it is as good as the first time, I think this is going to be in my top 5 favourite in Winnipeg it’s definitely top 10 already! The milkshake is pretty standard. I prefer when they leave it in the Metal cup personally. The pizza was cooked perfectly nice dough tasty salami good cheese pull I personally like pepperoni better. Salami had very nice flavour. Tall very nice waitress was very quick and friendly. Everyone even the cook cashier I paid was very friendly! This is a place I will go back and add more pictures! Try this place! I’d bring the family here! Or hungry cousins! Fries and gravy are Fantastic. Wasn’t a fan of the Cesar dressing sharp vinegary to me and personally I like a little cheese. The pancake syrup wasn’t my favourite. This is a place with lots of great options!
Very good food! best breakfast I've had in awhile, although the only let down was the wait time but the great food and huge portions made up for it. Love the place will be back plenty more!
Only started coming here a couple of months ago and regret not coming sooner! Hot roast beef sandwich was fantastic! Great home made food and great prices. They used to only be cash but now accept debit and credit.
