Great experience! Marie who took our order was very accommodating. Food was great! Husband feels like he was eating in Europe. The Asian fusion of food was great. We enjoyed our dinner, and will definitely come back next time.
Had the sweetest waitress. She has such a fun and lively personality. She recommended great drinks and food too! We loved the atmosphere with dim lighting and cool art. We got a bunch of different food to share. We got one of their special beef bowl. It was filled with a variety of different veggies and flavors. We also got gyozas, seared tuna, and cabbage pancakes. For drinks, oh my goodness. I had the best drinks here! Ube colada, last samurai, post melona, shokushu, limes of passion, and birds of paradise. Holy cow they were all fantastic. We ended with creme brulee. I'd say this is my favorite restaurant here in Victoria!!
We have dined at Block Kitchen several times now, and it never fails to impress. Every visit has been remarkable for its food and excellent service. Great vibes and atmosphere. They have great cocktails as well. This time, we arrived during happy hour and ordered the Red Devil Calamari, which has quickly become our favourite appetizer. It’s the perfect balance of spice, textures, and flavours. The Chili Tofu Steamed Bao Buns were another highlight. We had the Tokyo Fries, and they were an absolute hit - Crispy, flavourful, and perfectly seasoned. The kimchi was an another delicious side dish! The pan-flashed spicy prawns with peanut sauce were delectable. For dessert, we went for the dark chocolate pot de crème. To our surprise, it was a vegan dessert that blew our minds with its taste and creaminess.
