Customer Reviews

Had a wonderful time here for a late breakfast. Versatile & unique menu, I love that items on the menu are locally sourced /produced. Black pearl coffee was served in a French press and was 10/10. Great customer service. Cozy patio with plenty greenery. Dogs allowed on patio 💘
Took my Dad out for his Birthday Dinner last night and I could write a novel about the great experience we had at Bistro on Notre Dame. Incredibly unique food inspired by (and sourced) local ingredients such as bison, elk, fish, wild rice, homemade jams and pickled vegetables all with a Métis twist. Everything was delicious but, I'll definitely be dreaming of those honey butter chips 🤤 The service was impeccable and entertaining. We definitely felt like we were visiting old friends- thanks for your hospitality Rich! The atmosphere was calm and grounding with simple decor that highlighted the rich cultural history of the plains. The cocktails were eccentric but complimented the menu very well! Exciting combinations of fruits, herbs, spices, coffee and alcohol. Overall, the visit exceeded all expectations and I couldn't recommend this place enough! With all kinds of awards won and involvement in indigenous youth programming, how could you not support such an amazingly passionate business! You can definitely feel the love and see the heart that went into every detail of it.
We had an unexpectedly delightful brunch at this hidden gem. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, the atmosphere was surprisingly inviting. The manager greeted us warmly and took us through the menu like a friend, making us feel right at home. I opted for their sandwich with a side of onion soup, and both were fantastic. The sandwich was packed with flavorful meats and fresh veggies, all perfectly grilled. The onion soup was comforting and rich, a perfect match. My wife tried the duck and waffles, and she couldn't stop raving about it. The duck was tender and flavorful, paired wonderfully with sweet waffles and maple syrup. Portions were generous, ensuring we left satisfied. The highlight for me was their coffee—it was hands down the best I've had in Winnipeg, adding a perfect finish to our meal. We're already planning our next visit. With its great food, cozy vibe, and friendly service, this place has won us over. It's definitely worth checking out for a relaxed and tasty dining experience.
