Customer Reviews

This feels like a wonderful, family-run business with amazing food. I found the idea of the whale meat appetizer and pork knuckles very strange. However, that is what we had and it was amazing, just like all the other reviewers said. It is enough for 2 people. The outside was incredibly crispy and the inside tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this establishment and will definitely try to return.
If you want to try a norvegian dish, try their whale for starter, very delicate and it will make you travel. I took the chef menue and it was a very good experience. Very tasty and nicely prepared. Waiters was really nice and kind, efficient. And they have a regularly changing large beer choice. I can only recommend this restaurant
I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant ever since I decided to book my trip to Oslo. It certainly did not disappoint. The 3 course chefs menu was spot on. The smoked whale was a brand new experience for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The 5 hour roasted pork knuckle was the star of the show however. Once you got through the crackling, the meat practically falls off the bone and the mashed potatoes and vegetables that come with it were exceptional. A must visit if you are wanting traditional Norwegian food with welcoming and friendly staff who will make sure that you leave happy and full.
