Customer Reviews

Fancy place. Definitely somewhere you want to bring a partner to impress. Menu is one page but many veg options. The wine and beer choices are well done, with a variety to satisfy almost everyone. My waitress was so kind as to bring a tiny glass of wine for me to try. The food was tasty and delicious. Would love to come back. The lemon potatoes were outstanding. The brioche bread to start was a nice treat. Located in a popular part of town: 4th ave
We've always enjoyed our visits to Fable, and last night was no exception. It fits into a welcome niche between a high-end night out and something more casual and affordable, meaning we can wander in whatever we’re wearing, and without blowing our entire dining-out budget, still enjoy the kind of meal one expects from a Michelin-recommended chef. And it’s a well-deserved recommendation. Chef Mathew is a wellspring of all those qualities you want from the person orchestrating your meal – he’s passionate, attentive to detail, organized, and has a great talent for making you feel like a valued guest. The serving staff is just as warm and friendly.
Loved coming here as part of the Dine Out Vancouver Festival! It's great that a couple of the dishes (the duck meatball and brownie) appear to be regular (and popular) dishes on the normal menu. My favourite dish was probably the duck meatball - it tasted great!! The service was incredible as well, really nice, polite and friendly. I didn't feel like we were really rushed out of the restaurant, however I would've appreciated a little more time to enjoy the food between each course. However, the restaurant was very busy with the dine out scheme going on, so I'm not surprised!
